High school students interested in being on BJA’s Speech and Debate team this year are invited to join an optional but exciting (and free) forensic camp that will be held on the evenings on August 11, 12, and 14 from 6 until 9 p.m. in Brown 107. Students (rising ninth- through twelfth-graders, including students new to BJA) may come for one, two, or all three days. Attending the camp does not obligate a student to join the team. Students may wear normal on-campus casual attire (girls: pants, boys: neat jeans) and should bring pen, paper, and any pieces they have to work on. Snacks are welcome but not required!
Interscholastic boys soccer and girls volleyball tryouts and practices for the 2014-2015 school year will begin at 5 p.m. on Monday, August 4. Exacts dates and times are on the online calendar at www.bobjonesacademy.net and are listed below. To participate, a student must meet academic and behavioral expectations (e.g., must have at least a 2.0 GPA on the unweighted scale from the previous semester and must not have any disciplinary restrictions) and must have submitted to the high school or middle school office a completed athletic participation form for the current school year. Please note that athletes without completed forms will not be permitted to try out or practice. Access the form by clicking here or navigating to the Docs page on this site. Tryouts and practices are required. If there are scheduling conflicts, please contact athletic director Coach Don Ward well in advance. Tryouts and practice dates, times, and locations: High school varsity and JV (boys soccer, girls volleyball)
