You can also see this as a calendar or as a list by going to the top blue bar and clicking “Student’s classes” and then Assignment Calendar or Assignments List. View by day, week, or month and by calendar or list (make these choices on the left sidebar). Also, by using the left sidebar you can restrict what you view by selecting the class, category, or semester that you want to view.
This NetClassroom tip is especially for middle and high school families. The NetClassroom homepage for each student displays the upcoming assignments for a specified time period. You can adjust that time period by going to the top blue bar and clicking My Settings and then Customize Home. Here you can specify how many days ahead should be displayed. Be sure the “Show assignments due in” checkbox is clicked, and be sure to save your changes. This will customize the homepage by student, so you can make it the same or different for each of your children. In either case, be sure to save your changes on the Customize Home page for each of your children.

Final second semester schedules for high school students are available in NetClassroom (see “Schedule” on the homepage). If you receive the message “There are no classes scheduled for the selected date range” or if no schedule appears on the page, then go to “My settings” and then “Customize home.” Click “Show class schedule for” and choose “Next Week” in the drop-down.
Students taking a dual-credit or college-credit-only course should check their BJA email or StudentCentral for verification of their schedules. The email and StudentCentral also include information about buying/renting needed textbooks for these college classes. University classes begin Wednesday, January 13. Please review your student's schedule carefully and contact the guidance office if there are problems in the schedule. Changes on the schedule include those made because of drop/add requests and those made for various administrative purposes. Chapel seats for high school students will change for second semester. Students will need to know their new assignment for the Academy Auditorium for Monday’s chapel. This information will be available by this weekend on the parent’s and the student’s homepage at my.bobjonesacademy.net as well as at the front office. Students will receive their BJU chapel seats shortly before they are needed on January 13. To access your student’s report card, log in to NetClassroom, go to the Grades tab, and then click Report Card.
Dual credit grades will appear on the student’s transcript but not on BJA report cards. You can also see the grade by having your student log in to StudentCentral using his or her BJA network/email username and password. For your convenience, a link to StudentCentral is also available on the sidebar of NetClassroom. Dual credit grades will be available by Monday, December 21 as well. Because of system constraints, at the high school level we will disable parent/student access to grades in NetClassroom on Wednesday, December 16. Final exam grades may be posted on teachers’ doors, and final grades will be available on NetClassroom report cards on December 21. Be sure to print any information you may need from December 16 through December 21, such as missing work. The link to NetClassroom is the access point for your student’s grades.
To be sure the needed information is displayed on NetClassroom for each of your children, after logging in to NetClassroom, click the "My settings" button on the top blue bar. Here you can choose what grades or how many upcoming assignments show or how the schedule or grades display. Because it is on a per student basis, be sure to repeat the process and save for each child's page. While you can change views on other pages, such as the assignment calendar, these changes cannot be saved and will not be retained when you log out. The only changes that are retained are those that are saved at the "homepage." For your convenience, phone numbers for the various school offices are listed on the "contact us" page on the school website, and email addresses for your child’s teacher(s) are accessible under their pictures on the faculty pages of the website. |
