The ministry, whose doors opened in 1991, is a free clinic helping women with unintended or unplanned pregnancies. Every counseling session, pregnancy test, or ultrasound includes a clear gospel presentation. Last year, PWC saw an average of one baby saved per day and two women accept Christ per week. Many of the ministry’s board members are BJU and BJA graduates. The design team is made up of 1974, 1988, and 2001 BJA graduates. PWC’s Greenville location on Grove Road is right next door to one of the largest abortion clinics in South Carolina. What an opportunity they have to reach women who are literally at a crossroads in their lives!
PWC is beginning the construction of a beautiful new facility across the street from the small clinic that they have outgrown. God has raised up architects, engineers, builders, electricians, HVAC experts, and many other volunteers who are donating their time and materials to build the new center. It is an amazing testimony of the greatness of God to hear what He is doing to make the new center a reality.
Bob Jones Academy is supporting this new project by contributing to the center’s Walk of Life. BJA has a 12” x 12” anchor brick with the etched-in BJA logo. Last week some of our students and parents who attended the alumni basketball game donated money for additional bricks.
If you would like to join us in contributing to the Walk of Life, you can make out a check to “Piedmont Women’s Center” and bring it to any school office. The gifts are tax-deductible. Each brick that is sponsored has a place for the donor or student name and other information (e.g., Class of 2001 or Proverbs 3:5-6); BJA’s logo will also be on each of these bricks. Below are the sizes and costs.
- 4” x 8” brick: $150 (3 lines of 15 letters, spaces, or punctuation)
- 8” x 8” brick: $250 (4 lines of 20 letters, spaces, or punctuation)
- 12” x 12” brick: $350 (6 lines of 20 letters, spaces, or punctuation)
We are thankful for this vibrant ministry that helps many—including saving several hundred babies from abortion—each year.
