The Uniform Exchange is an opportunity for BJA families to trade in and purchase gently used elementary student uniforms. This Academy-sponsored event is provided as a convenient service to help families save money.
How Does It Work?
Families may bring in unwanted BJA uniform items (Lands’ End® brand) to donate or trade in for credit. Any approved uniform item will be accepted. All items should be clean and in good condition (see below), labeled, and on a hanger. For each shirt that is traded, families will receive one credit. All other items can be traded for two credits. Credits can then be used to “purchase” items during the exchange sale (one credit for shirts; two credits for other items). Credits may also be purchased for $5 in the elementary main office. Credits may be used from sale to sale or may be donated to other families. Credits do not have cash value. Any clothing left at the end of the exchange sale will be kept for future sales.
Where Do the Proceeds Go?
The exchange is intended to serve as an opportunity for families to exchange clothing. Any proceeds from purchased credits will be used to purchase supplies related to the uniform program.
What Types of Clothing are Acceptable for the Exchange?
BJA logo uniform pants, shorts, shirts, skirts, skorts, jumpers, dresses, sweaters, and vests are all accepted. All items should be clean and not ripped, torn, stained, or noticeably faded. Please make sure all buttons are present and all zippers work. Clothing should be on a hanger and labeled on the sleeve using the official exchange label. Spirit gear and choir shirts are not included in the exchange sale.
Who Can Participate in the Exchange Sale?
Anyone! Items are available on a first-come basis to all BJA families, whether or not they traded in items. Families without credits from trade-ins or wanting to buy more credits may purchase them at the elementary main office. Only credits (no cash, checks, or credit cards) will be accepted at the sale.
Please contact the elementary main office at 864-770-1392.
