The elementary choirs will combine to present several Christmas concerts. On Friday, December 9, at noon they will perform in BJU’s Student Center, a favorite venue because of the crisp winter air and acoustics. A former participant said it’s “like singing in the bathtub.” On Monday, December 12, the choirs will perform at the Greenville-Spartanburg airport, a first for the choirs in this venue. They will sing in the lobby next to the flight check-in area. Their concerts include a Spanish carol complete with maracas, guiro, and claves; “Deck the Hall”; David Rasbach’s setting of “Hush, My Dear, Lie Still and Slumber”; “The Drum Carol” and “Pat-A-Pan,” as well as “Nutcracker Jingles,” a setting of the “Jingle Bell” lyrics with Tchaikovsky’s beautiful melodies. Come enjoy one or both of these concerts!
