Why have the faculty and staff invested so much time to partner with parents to make this year a success? Because each of these programs is driven by the school's mission statement— “Bob Jones Academy exists to assist like-minded Christian parents in challenging students to love Jesus Christ, to embrace God's truth, to exercise integrity, to pursue excellence and to serve others.” There have been difficulties and blessings, losses and victories. Hopefully, we can reflect on the year with joy—knowing that God is able to combine all of these situations to strengthen the students and prepare them for service. We thank you for the opportunity of ministering to your children. May we join together in praise to the Lord—“To God be the glory, great things He hath done!”
The year started with the student leadership retreat, interscholastic soccer and volleyball with junior varsity added, and commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the National Anthem. It continued with Grandparents’ Day, animal adventures, class reunions, classical Greek studies, a fossil dig, and the largest forensics tournament in the history of BJA. These were followed by the middle school volleyball championship victory, the varsity soccer and volleyball championships, the first-ever seventh-grade Creation Museum trip, Nation’s Protectors Appreciation Day, community giving, and fine arts ministry opportunities. Whew! And we haven’t made it to the end of first semester yet! Click here for a continued review of the year.
